Simichrome...never met a metal job that I have had and failed to completely satisfy. The best IMO and that is doing them without a machine. Those powerballs just disintegrated.
I've not tried the Adam's products, but some of the rest. Not as good but if they do the deal for you, great.
I meant power ball! But if your tips are black as sh$t clean them the best you can before using the polish.
Oh, absolutely. I have found if you warm the car up enough that the exhaust is hot, you can spray a wheel cleaner on there while hot. Let it sit a minute or two, and brush off and rinse. It works better than a cleaner on cold metal.
Let the pipes dry and then use metal polish. My t-shirt tip is purely so you don't have to clean the foam *****/cones. I'm lazy (or smart) when I can (or need) be.

You are correct: Most times when I drive about two blocks to the car wash I use Eagle One chrome rim cleaner on the rims and spray the tips real good then rinse and hit the freeway at 80mph to dry, then when home I use a cloth to finish the job, hell, even Windex works good on the tips and rims. I'm not high tech to much anymore....
