I haven't read thru all the responses, but IMO if a few thousand dollars either damages your ego or your wallet, keep the truck. You either step up and admit a mistake in buying the truck---and mistakes sometimes actually cost money---or you don't. It's really very simple.
I'd bet there are people on here who have made a mistake in buying the wrong car/truck and some have made it right by losing a few thousand, learning a lesson about themselves, and enjoying the new/old car/truck. I know I have (and I bought the '96 LT4 I should have). So, put the big-boy pants on if you're so inclined, sell the truck and get the car. No disrespect intended.

Yes Bill, I'm one of those people that made that mistake. When I bought my 013 base brand new in January of 013 I realized after being on the forum for about 2 weeks the mistake I made. That mistake was not buying a GS, which I did 2 years later. In order for me to trade (up if you will) for the 012 GS CE I wanted, it cost me 10 grand plus my car. But at least I know I did the right thing and I'm a lot happier with the GS.

Brave man to admit it, Billy, but that's who you are. I'm glad and you are, too, that you made the (somewhat costly) upgrade in Corvettes! Mine was about eight months after getting the car, and about a $6K loss to get the car I had wanted. Oh well....
You obviously don't like the truck so get rid of it and cut your losses. I've been down that road myself and it's the only way to solve the problem. Get what you want and be done with it. You learn from it in the long run.
I'm a big do it your selfer, couldn't imagine life without a truck. Then there's the winter driving thing. As far as enjoying driving the truck, it's about as comfortable vehicle you could ask for, whisper quiet and rides smooth as silk.
The Vette is a toy for me, my truck is a necessity IMO.
Completely understandable and agreed. Mines a toy also and if I could only afford one car then the toy would have to go. A Corvette doesn't make a very good DD regardless of what some think. In the world of every day driving the cons greatly out weigh the pros....

Speak for yourself!
It really depends on your lifestyle and where you live. I have used sports cars as daily drivers for nearly 30 years. Corvettes for the last 11 years. I won't bore you with all the reasons why I would be very disappointed to DD almost anything else, but it is a completely rational decision for me.
I can see why it might not work for some (many?) but your reasons would not sway me a bit. I know; I've heard them all...

I'm not speaking for myself....i'm speaking common sense. And not sure what ones life style or where they live has to do with anything when it comes to what constitutes a DD. You want to go through all the hassles that comes with driving a 2 seat sports car that sits 2 inches off the ground and all the other little things that add up to make it unpractical, then good for you and more power to ya. Some people like yourself use them as a DD and some of them may or may not want to admit the cars short commings as such....so be it. The Corvette is a fantastic sports car, i've owned one or more of them for over 35 years and loved/love everyone of them and will own one till I can't press the pedals, but when all is said and done they are not a good DD. As mentioned, the cons far out weight the pros....so...well...there ya have it.

Your logic and choices are 100% wrong for ME. Don't know why some folks are so bullheaded!
I could list all the reasons why I think you are full of it, but then I'd be wrong. You are speaking for you and folks like you. I'm speaking for me and folks like me.
No one likes losing money, but let's face it, you made an unwise choice. Take your medicine and every time you think about the money, climb into that C6. The smile on your face will help you forget about the pain of the money. Then remember your mistake, and it will keep you from making another in the future.

Like I stated, i'm simply talking common sense, but you are trying to make it a P@#$ING contest. I could list all the reasons why you are full of it. What would that prove. Some people want to own a Corvette so bad that they will use it as their DD cause they can't afford another one to get the groceries in on a regular basis and thats fine, but the bottom line is that The Corvette is still a poor choice for a daily driver, you don't agree with it that then thats just to bad, guess you will just have to live with it. Now lets see those pics of Vettes with groceries in them.....LOL....beat ya'll to it didn't I...
OP, you are suffering from a syndrome called TMT (Too Many Toys). Why in the world would you sell your F150 and take a loss to buy another C6? Sell the C4 to get some cash down on the C6 and buy one. Sounds like you are lost in a pile of pickups and jet skis and track cars and ......

Sell the truck..Buy a Tacoma...Then buy your GS...
I bought the new Tacoma. I am a truck and roadster guy....who likes bikes....and has nowhere to go everyday.
I have to have a truck. Wife has an SUV and My roadsters and bike. I am "fun and utility" covered.
I could not own a roadster and not have a truck.
The last vehicle standing for me will likely be the truck. I love its utility, and prefer the truck to be "new"
I picked up a 2016 Taco also not a bad truck..but depending on options will cost as much as a F150..Good luck Op.. you already know what YOU want to do

"common sense" is not so common --
And you prove it with every post...

a) I like them.
b) Great utility.
c) Well made.
d) Stylish.
e) Economical.
f) Great acceleration.
g) Roomy.
h) Dependable.
i) Elevated visibility.
j) Handles great on the road.
k) Easy to park.
But I love a high performance automobile. I worked for it. My lifestyle supports it. I drive responsibly in a sportscar. My insurance is not outrageous. I can part from it if I have to and not lose my joy. I have laid out my priorities to allow me to own a Corvette and enjoy it. Owning a high performance vehicle with limited space has never been a liability for me because I have not allowed it to.
And, as the OP stated and some have disregarded, he is not a truck man.
enjoy your life
it is the only one you have,

Did you get the salsa option or the "Pico de Gallo" Commemorative Edition?"

I mean, yeah I do have a lot of toys, but "too many" seems harsh :-p
So for those interested, the deal fell apart. The dealership low balled me on my trade in, so they're going to be sitting on the Corvette during a blizzard rather than having a nice truck to sell. Oh well, can't win them all. I told them if they were to get more flexible at the end of the month to let me know, but I don't expect them to.
So for now, I'm gonna stick with things as is, and maybe upgrade to a C5 or early C6 in a year or so. Or I will pick up a C3 and hedge my bets against depreciation.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
