Default Hard time finding a car

Have a buddy that I am trying to help find a Grand Sport convertible. He wants a yellow automatic.

They're out there, but seem to be made of gold.

Anybody know of a clean convertible for sale?

His budget is under $45K, convertible, at least a 2LT, and lower mileage.

Thanks guys!

The last link I posted checks all of those boxes. You might be able to find them for less, but I've never bought a GS, so my knowledge on the market is limited.

Best of luck

And you have to be willing to buy out of state to get what your looking for.
Autotrader.com is a great place to start the search.
I searched for 6 months, and bought one out of Country to get exactly what I wanted (color, options, etc)

Only 7 of those 216 match what he is looking for.I spent 3 years looking for mine as I was very specific on what I wanted and wouldn't settle. He may have to be patient.

Of the GS convertibles made in velocity yellow by year without a true number of auto transmission (Approx 70%) auto
2010 - 145 Velocity yellow convertibles.
2011 - 255 Velocity yellow convertibles.
2012 - 126 Velocity yellow convertibles
2013 - 81 Velocity yellow convertibles

As you can see, you will be very limited to the amount of GS Convertibles that are on the market with the exact options that you want and with an auto.

This could be a long search, but it will be fun doing it.
This search will have to nationwide to have any success, or you may get lucky and find one in your backyard.

Good Luck

What they said. I searched for a year with fairly specific wants and then two popped up. One was about 300 miles away and the other was further but in the same direction. We took a road trip, leaving in one car and coming back in two, buying the one that was the farthest away.

The more specific requirements or specific combinations you have the harder they are to find.

Good luck.

Here is a 2010 GS Convertible , with the Auto, 4LT option group, 26,000 miles for $39,900.

That's is exactly better than what was wanted for options

The mileage is not that high.
I'd buy it in a minute if that is what I was looking for.

Too many vette owners get hung up on mileage. At less than 30K miles, it's hardly even broken in. It's still available for extended warranty if that is a safety blanket.

There a 5 GS auto with VY on this page, but not all under $45,000
2012 - 4912 miles $51,900 3LT Auto
2012 - 11,203 miles - $47,995 3LT auto
2013 - 13,240 miles - $49,994 3LT auto
2011 - 3,000 miles - $46,900 3LT auto

Those are the only ones available on Autotrader.com nationwide.

That 2011 that LV2TOUR popped up could be your car. Only 3,000 miles, a 3LT and the price is within negotiating range of your friend's $45K limit.

It's not a convertible.

Good Luck
There are parts of the US where they are found in greater abundance, such as FL, TX, AZ, CA. There are several in the Phx area. Because the original buyer was ordering a yellow vert, I'd guess they weren't skimping on other options either. The ones I've seen are option rich environments, including a more than normal amount of aftermarket appearance mods.

The quest is not so much in finding one that fits the desires, but finding one that is currently for sale.

Another month or two tops and all the northern people will be taking theirs out and you'll see more for sale.
