Default NGK copper plugs throwing code?

I recently just got a cam swap done and they replaced the spark plugs with the NGK, now to what I have noticed at a idle like at a stop light or rolling real slow the service charging system light comes on...iv had the issue non stop with this car and was wondering if that's what throwing it, my voltage is at 13.5-13.7 when the light comes on, once i start to move the warming goes away, could it be the plugs or a mix of plugs and a UD pulley...?

U.D. Pulley would be my guess but not the plugs. With a wild cam you need a higher idle and it should make up for the Underdrive pulley. You should not get a code for anything above 13V.

you said you've had the issue non-stop...did you have it prior to the cam install? if not, the idle needto be raised as mentioned above.

When i had it before I had to change a few alternators out and it finally went away, I called the speed shop that did the cam install and they said they never had those plugs cause an issue and to check my alternator again, but it never falls below 13v at idle when i get the warning

It is not the plugs. They have nothing to do with charging.

There's also all kinds of other people having experienced similar issues with NGK plugs.

I'm just assuming plugs first because I have no drops in the voltage at all, rarely will I start the car and it's below 13 but once I drive that's right back to normal and will stay there.

I once installed NGK plugs in a new engine and couldn't figure out why I was getting knock retard at idle.

Turns out it was the plugs and as you probably guessed, that's the last time NGK plugs ever found themselves in any of my engines.

Use A/C Delco 41-104's. That's the stock plug that is factory on Z06's and ZR1's. One heat range cooler than the stock LS3 plug. Others will fit (see NGK TR6), but none are any better.....and the vast majority aren't as good.
