I bought DSVettes padded elbow pads (not a whole door panel) and padded center console cover.

See my photos.

Thanks for the reply!

But let me clarify my original question:

I was talking about a padded cover that goes over the original console door vs. buying a complete, padded console door (like DSVettes) that replaces the factory console door (not the main door panels ).

I'm thinking that just a padded cover that goes over the factory console door would look a bit chintzy.

OK, that does make it clearer.

My center console from DSV is the whole cover replacement. I prefer it to all be one piece.

I'm sure that a console cover that slips over the OEM console would be OK, I just never considered it.

I would like to get them because I want them w/orange stitching to go w/the rest of my stuff, but $220 for armrest pads = no thank you.

Plus, if you go to their website and select the color combo you want, there IS NO PICTURE available of it. I think that's why I didn't buy one a year ago.

I've noticed this same lack of photos (or at least ones LARGE enough so you can actually see something) on other Vette aftermarket sites.

Is it really that difficult to take and post photos today?

With websites, as when meeting new people, first impressions matter.

Bought mine from Apsis. They are really nice quality. First photo is from their site.

I have not installed mine yet because the weather is still too cool out but will install them soon.

About 180.00 with 10% discount. I bought another set a few years ago for about 90.00 but the quality of the Apsis covers are so much better the price was worth it.

Not to bad. You could do both seats on a Saturday. Took me about 4-5 hours taking my time because I had never done anything like this before.

I have a thread here on the forum detailing the process (with photos).

Do a search or PM me and I will find it for you.

Well If it bothers you that much put some Silverado decals on your vette to change it up.

Last night, after thinking about it for a year, I ordered the padded console door from DSV: ebony sides, cashmere top.

NSF: You cheap bastard, did you buy one yet? You have several posts in the DSV thread asking about "Black Friday" discounts, etc.

Suck it up, be a man, get your credit card out, order one -- then order my throttle controller while yer at it.

My interior will look just like this:
