What ever happens to these concept cars they make every year?
Are they ever sold to the public? Is there actually a way to get your hands on one?
If memory serves, some go to museums, some are scrapped, some are stashed away. Some do get out. Keep in mind most "concept cars" are not running, driving vehicles. I think.
for liability reasons alot of them get crushed... Even demo / pre-production cars get the same thing...
I suspect that sometimes Crushed cars end up in certain executives collections with the clear understanding that they will never be driven. Jerry Seinfield is going to be selling off some of his Porsche's and he has a Carrera GT that was a preproduction car and comes with a document that you have to sign that you will never drive the car under any circumstances.

Please note that the buyer of this car must, as a condition of purchase, agree to certain special undertakings and other terms and conditions which include, among others, that the car may not be driven and that any future sale by such buyer is subject to a right of first refusal in favor of Porsche. Each bidder on this car is strongly encouraged before bidding to review these special terms and conditions, which are available from any Gooding sales specialist prior to or at the auction, or at the Gooding office at the auction.
apparently Porsche took the ECU out before they sold it.
The usual procedure is to keep one or more of the concept cars and add them to the GM Heritage Collection. If you are ever in Detroit make an attempt to visit the display. Admission is limited and I think that you need to make an appointment. We had the opportunity to spend several hours there as part of the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2012. The cars on display are rotated in and out of a warehouse to the display building. I drooled so much my wife had to follow me around with a paper towel to keep me getting the floor wet. They have the concept cars, one off's, experimental cars and factory built hot rods.
