Needing help setting the clock in my new to me 2008 Z06 with nav system. Followed the direction in the manual, however everytime I turn the car off and restart the clock goes back to the eastern time zone. How do you set the clock in this thing?

You can't you actually have to move to the time zone programmed in the clock...

1. You are setting the time zone while setting the time, right?

2. The NAV owner's manual says you should be in the open air where you can get a signal from somewhere for the NAV system.

3. You probably need to delete the previous owner's "Home" address, which was probably in the Eastern Time zone. See pages 49 & 55 of the NAV manual.

I found this out the hard way. Bought mine from two time zones away and had to move just so I could have the clock read correctly. Not to big a deal but the commute to and from work gets old.....

I could be wrong, but I think you may even have to do that for both drivers, (fob #1, and fob #2). I updated mine to my new time zone and didn't bother with fob #2. Recently the battery in my fob became weak so I used fob #2 to drive the car and I noticed the time was off. Had to go into menu and change the time zone.

I think I got it fixed by setting the time and saving the settings for driver 1. I must have saved it under driver 2.

Now, cut that out! This sort of reminds me of when we bought a hand held Tom Tom Go for our drive to Birmingham, AL with the '69 Mustang convertible. Being a cheap guy I bought a refurbished unit for about half the price of a new one. On the return trip from Birmingham to the S.F. Bay Area the damn thing started speaking French. Very sexy but not much help.
