Does it take a hit like it is a salvage vehicle when you try to sale it?
If it shows up on the Carfax, it would lead to questions about how much damage, how it was repaired, diminished value of vehicle....
From what I have been told the Carfax will tell you the level of the damage such as slight, moderate, severe, etc and where like front, side, rear, towed from scene etc.
The couple of car dealers that I deal with run a Carfax on every car that they take as a trade in to check before the deal is made, because one of them got caught with a nice looking BWM that was repaired and traded before the info got on the Carfax. They ended up running it thru the auction and lost money on the deal...
I had my BMW repaired at a BMW dealers shop after an accident, Carfax showed no accidents on the car when I sold it three years later. I'm not sure Carfax is always accurate.
Another thing to be cognizant of is a car with a clean Carfax report that was previously a rental unit. Big rental companies like Hertz have their own facilities for repairs and those never get to the DMV or to Carfax. My son was going to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a clean Carfax report. I looked it over and it was clear from the weird door gaps that the car had been hit hard in the passenger side. Turns out it was a Hertz car and it had been in a T-bone accident. The repairs were done in house by Hertz and never reported. Fortunately the dealer, who had about five of these Hertz units, was honest enough to admit the history of the vehicle when questioned.
Be aware that having a clean Carfax doesn't mean diddly.
My C6s have been in six accidents. NOT A SINGLE ONE has been reported to Carfax. They have all been repaired with no way of knowing they were ever damaged w/o pulling the car apart to look.
Did you click on the Carfax report on the dealership listing. It shows this vehicle was a corporate vehicle, probably a rental. It also show 2 accidents with airbag deployment. That ought to diminish the value quite a bit....

the CTS V is a nice looking car. I like it in the 2 door version. A lot like a Corvette in Cadillac Wolf's clothing...they do look aggressive....I looked at some myself but they were all priced pretty high. Sounds like you got a deal...enjoy...the vette looked good to. Someone else will be in it soon...
