Second reason is the beginning of the run followed the 'closed' numbers from the previous run exactly (that run being the first one that was within 3hp of best), if it was heat soaked I would expect the numbers to start out lower and remain lower, but that was not the case here.
That's cold ambient temps and the closed numbers do follow. Very interesting, thanks again for posting the dyno graph!

Evey time I had a switch on any LS3 it seemed to lose power or bog down with the npp open.Hence,I DON'T buy the switches anymore.Gues the Z works differently.

With the really big difference open vs closed, I'd question what other functions are controlled by the OEM device that opens the flaps. Are there timing, fuel, or throttle limitations?

Rather than have an aftermarket device override the OEM function, I'd be interested in the difference by simply manually closing the flaps.

I have Z06 bi-mode mufflers on my base '08 along with NPP-in-a-box. When in the closed mode and under a load (esp WOT) the flaps open as the vacuum that holds them closed quickly goes away. To keep them closed with some aftermarket device on a Z06 makes me wonder how that works and what else is happening.

with mine too. I only have 425 rwhp/rwtq (headers and tune on LS3), but don't notice any difference in the seat of pants pull with NPP fully closed (using the dashlogic device) and with it wide open (using the dashlogic device)

There is a huge difference in sound though, which is why I run it fully closed if I'm going high speeds on the interstate, to keep a lower profile.
