CB Antenna install
Anyone with any tips on installing a CB antenna on their C6? I like to use my CB for conditions/alerts when I'm on a road trip. I've seen one CB antenna from MAM where it indicates you have to drill a hole to install it.
Wondering if it's pretty simple or not worth the effort. I've searched through Corvette Forum to find any help, but most posts appear to recommend hand-held CBs instead of a stand-alone unit.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I have seen some with a bracket that comes out between the exhaust and the antenna bolts to that.
Here's a thread I found with one in it.
If you google it there are some also that mount to the license plate frame on the rear

If the CB mount does not work out, you can get road conditions, real time traffic, navigation, alternate routes and accident alerts by using Google maps on a smart phone. It is free and very accurate. I also hear Waze is another excellent app for road conditions but I have not used that one myself.

Just buy a good hand held CB. It will work line of sight with another vehicle.
I use Waze on trips and in populated areas it works well.
If you want contact with the Big Rigs go the handheld route.
