Remember these bolts hold you and the seat in place when you crash.
So then what's the sense in unbolting the back if It doesn't give more room to see what to do anyway?

When I removed my front bolts only, I was able to tilt the seat back about 2 ft from the floor without removing the back bolts.
All you can do is remove the back bolts, see if it will tilt enough to get at the connector. If it doesn't, then remove the front bolts.

Good Luck

I guess I just don't get it. I just don't see a way to get/work under the seat or tilt it without removing all four bolts, and if I do it leaves me open to not putting the seat back on correctly and possibly unable to drive safely. By the way it's intermittent and the dealer was not helpful.

Why are you so scared?
Remove the nuts.
Fix the problem.
Tighten down the bolts as tight as you can get them. - With the money you save from not having the dealership do it, you could justify buying a torque wrench to ease your nerves.
This is removing a seat, not changing the ATF or something really hard like adding coolant.

Do you want me to make a How To video to show you the steps?

Might actually be a good idea. If one guy won't pull his seat, there might be thousands of Youtube hits.

I can understand that you would think that the other set of bolts would be stressed when you remove the first set and tilt the seat. Try removing one set and then just LOOSEN the other set, this will make tilting easier and you won't need to worry about losing the placement of the seat.

It may be easier for you just to take it to the dealer so you can be put at ease. They will fix the issue in 2 or 3 visits, and after replacing a bunch of sensors. Eventually, they will tie wrap the connector and fix your issue.

Good Luck with whatever you decide to do.
