if you are buying from a lot, even a gm dealer lot, you might be surprised at how incredibly dumb the salespeople are about corvettes. Now, ask them about a malibu, or volt, and they will quote everything they ever learned. Just don't ask them what F55 means.....
Some owners have updated their center console/radio bezel with one of the newer CF models (like the pic) and they may have just purchased one with the MSRC **** on it.
If they don't have the F55 shocks (check the RPO tag in the glove box) they may have wired it for some other purpose, like exhaust/muffler control for example.

If possible, look at the RPO codes in the car glove box for "F55."
