For those who have gone to the Corvette Museum and factory tour, when would be the best time to go (time of year and day of week)? Beginning to plan for this year probably will be after June, so if there's plant shutdown in July I'd work around that and go later. Anyway, whatever you can offer up would be appreciated, thank you.
Why not make a real fun weekend out of it, and go when their having one of their other special Corvette get togethers at the same time..The have quite a few special weekend events through out the year.......WW

Whatever you decide to do, book your Plant tour well in advance. NCM is a great place to spend all day looking at the various displays, shopping in the store, drooling over the Corvettes waiting for R8C Museum Delivery. The five Corvettes damaged during the sinkhole and the only surviving `83 Corvette are on display in the Dome.
Make sure that you go on a week day and include the plant tour. The plant is not open for tours on the weekend. Also the library isn't open on the weekend either. I was going to pick up a copy of my window sticker but the library was closed.....
Still had a good time as I was in town for business and didn't make a special trip to go there.
Three NCM deliveries so far. Have always used the weekends for regional sightseeing then doing the delivery Monday mornings at 8:00 so that I can use the last half of the delivery day for a start back toward Houston driving the new vette.
Spring is ideal.....production at the plant is still "normal"( which later in summer affects the tours ) , weather is good, crowds at the museum and the plant are smaller...all in all the best!
I did the 8:30 a.m. factory tour. I was told that sometimes the 11:30 am tour encounters some assembly lines not operating due to lunch periods. There is also a 2 p.m. tour.
