Question before purchasing tires - help
Good morning, I am about to purchase new Michelin tires for my 2005 C6, it's a 1SB. Can I go with the following sizes without problems:
Front 255-40-18
Rear 305-35-19
Let me know, also, if I can go wider too. Please educate me here.

The factory sizes for an '05 C6 are 245/40-18 (F) & 285/35-19 (R), so you are already going wider. To convert "section width" from mm to inches, divide by 25.4. Thus the stock tire widths are 9.6" (F) & 11.2" (R) and the wider tires are 10.0" (F) & 12.0" (R). Difference is 0.4" (F) & 0.8" (R) which should not create a clearance problem.

I was told years ago the for every 10 you go wider u should go 5 shorter sidewall to keep tire close to same diameter.
