I have a 2006 and want to simply install a jl audio amp. (I replaced the door speakers with some DynAudio's but they are too hard to push with the stock head unit.) Since my the center console plug stopped working a few years ago and I was never able to trace down the problem, I cannot use that always on option. So, heres the question -
Is there an always on AND an ignition only on available anywhere in the back that I can tap into for amp power? I dont want to mess with the fuse box or running up through the firewall. Just something simple as I wont be keeping the car after this summer...
If you try to power an aftermarket amp with any factory wires you'll more than likely start blowing fuses. It is not advisable.
Thanks, but its worth a shot. If I blow fuses I can always look for another alternative. I wont be running it super loud or have subs to power so it shouldnt be to big a draw... But thank you...
