Hey all. Just curious about something. I repainted my calipers today on my 2006 Base. I wanted to take them off the car for the paint job. The caliper bolts turn but don't appear to be backing out at all. I tried both sides on the rear and same result. So I just removed the bracket bolts and did it that way. I've done brake jobs before but this is a first. Am I missing something??? Thanks for any help

If you look closely at the other side of the bracket right against the rubber dust cover you will see a flat spot or another "nut" on the caliper slide pin... Put a wrench or crescent on this as you turn the bolt and it will come out... Otherwise you are just turning the bolt AND the sliding pin at the same time
