Default Engine questions

I've owned my C6 for about 6 months now and I've noticed two things and I'm not sure if they are normal or not. When I first start the car after it's been sitting all night it seems to have someone of a rough idle for about 4-5 seconds and then all is well. Is this normal ? Also , after driving it when I park I have a liquid , what I believe to be is water , dripping but when it hits the ground it sizzles , so it's hot. Is this normal. I know nothing about mechanics on cars so I appreciate the help. It's a 2013 Base btw.

My 2013 GS w/the Dry sump LS3 & has a little bit of a rough idle when I first start it up also. It smoothes out after about the same 4-5 seconds. The stock LS3 has a somewhat decent cam I'm told for a street car. That's the reason for the idle is what I was told by someone about a year ago. The moisture that you're seeing is probably from the AC condenser. If you turn your climate control on or defrost it is running the condenser, no matter what the climate control number is set to. I think that would explain the water. Mine drips onto hot exhaust pipe so that would explain the sizzles. (I hope this explanation helps) If I'm off the mark, I hope someone will chime in to correct me.

The idle and the water drip are normal. The ac condensation drain tube drips onto the exhaust.

on the cam, seems like a "warmed up" one is used for the LS3; this I noticed when test driving vettes before I settled on the one I purchased.
The water is actually condensation from the evaporator core inside the climate box, which contains both heater and evaporator cores in the dash area. The condenser is located in front of the radiator of the car...

Often the A/C condensation will drip on the exhaust when parked and give a "sizzle".
