IDK, I have pushing a quarter of a million miles on my blue one. Nothing has rusted out so far.
Plenty of salts down around these parts.
I should snap a pik under my 2011 pickup with 27k miles on it, bought new, but the pix probably wouldn't do it justice.
A couple of months ago I had my buddy put front brakes on it. The calipers were just one rusted mass. He couldn't even get them apart on the bench, had to put new ones in.
This isn't unusual, although a few decades ago it wasn't that bad -- they were just using rock salt then. Now, according to what I hear, they are mixing it with liquid calcium (a different type of salt) so it will melt ice at lower temps. It rots everything, even the brake pads.
Yikes! sounds like what they use on your roads up there is super caustic.
All they have down here is magnesium chloride. and table salt. Thank goodness they don't put sand into the mix!
I have a good local touchless car wash that has a good undercarriage blast that I use during the winter and a couple of times after the snow has gone away.
Both Rain-X and Bosch Icon are very good blades, but IMO the Bosch are better.
Rain-X treatment is great, but I find it hard to believe that the blades actually leave the stuff on the windshield.
what is the Bosch part # please.
tried the Stealership and they want 27.00 per side. not happening
and $35. for just the rubber and use my old blades. unreal.

They're like $16 for the pair at O'Reillys for the OEM style inserts.
Dano...I always knew you were the goto guy!
However, without watching the youtube (How to change rear wiper blade refill or insert), can you please tell me if it applies to the coupe or vert???
Got my inserts (rubber and the metal strips) from the parts guy that posts here, Gene. I recall $8 each. An actual GM part with number. Easy off, easy on.

don t think that will happen.. 18.00 + 70 shipping . lol
and that is for 1
I put new rubber in mine from NAPA...they were about $6 each. I don't understand throwing away the metal part...the rubber is the only part that wears away.

Coupe and Vert are the same, windshield wiper-wise.
Meh. different car, but I've tried all the high-end wipers and the Motorcraft last longer and stay quieter and do a better job. The Bosch wipers lasted 6 months, the Motorcraft lasted about 18 months. The RainX lasted about 4 months and were noisy and irritating.

this was my goal. as no dealer or anyone else, for that matter, has the wiper for left side with deflector on it, so wanted to replace the rubber only, no dealer or parts store around here carries or will get refills. Amazon is 3.50 + 16.00 shipping. go figure.
