I would like to look inside at the top mechanism, I'm getting some grease marks on the the sides of the top.
Can I just stop the top down partway? Do I need to be mindful of anything?. Sorry if this a simple question.
Thanks for any advice. Wally
You can stop it by letting off the button at the point you want it to stay....the top will stay there for a little bit but when the pressure leaks down, the top will slowly go down too...
There is a video on power top repair in the forum where they use a bent coat hanger to hold the top in a upright position to work on it. I don't know where you would be getting grease marks from on the top ....
