Thank God we live in America where we can make our own choices and do what makes us happy. As an older guy I like chrome, particularly on my TR GS. I have seen many cars, not just vettes, with black wheels that looked awesome. I think McAndrew's car looks awesome but I reserve judgement on an individual basis. I recently saw a C7 in that dark grey color with gloss black wheels and it looked bad azz. Put whatever you like on your car as you are the only one who HAS to like it. I have learned that you should never say never. It IS possible that I could own something with black wheels before I die....just not likely.

I just don't understand why anybody would be so dependent on someone else's opinion of their wheel color, or anything else for that matter.
Who cares what color wheels you have? And why do you care what anybody else thinks about your wheels? Sounds too codependent to me.
BTW; Racer never did show us a pic of his Black Wheels. He does like to stir the pot however.

Give me chrome! I have to admit that I do like the black wheels on a black car though.
NEWS FLASH !!!.....A black car...esp a black Corvette is the absolute worst color to put black wheels on. Thats because a black Corvette is by far the best color and it is absolutely against the laws of nature to ruin said black Corvette by putting spare tires all the way around it !!!!.....
I think both look good whether black or chrome, but some of each style I've seen can look really tacky or downright cheap. The stock chrome wheels look really nice I think, but for aftermarket wheel black or silver to me I think look sweet!
The problem with aftermarket chrome wheels is the quality...these days the slant chrome only lasts a few years and the pvd chrome hasn't been out long enough to have long term results. And to hell with polished aluminum...that's just torture lol
