Decided to upgrade from the drab gray on my 05 to the 08 newer looking half leather one. Everything was easy until it came time to unplug the traction control and lower cigarette lighter! If not for these two plugs, it would have been a 5 minute swap. I'll post finished pics tomorrow as I had to go to work tonight.
One of the first mods I had done when I bought my '05 6 years ago. Ed at TKO Performance out here on Long Island (they were a forum vendor, not sure if they still are) did mine, the center console piece and the gauge surround bezel, both in the same '08 carbon fiber design as yours but without the leather. Definitely an upgrade from the plain painted gray OEM pieces.
I like the new upgrade for the console.
I wanted to do this as well, but I decided to paint my original light silver console a darker gray, and it turned out very nice.
I would like to have the leather trim on mine though. It makes it look more stylish.
