What is the cutout portion to the right in the bezel on the right pictured above? I don't think I have seen that before.

Are you referring to the cup holder trim? This came from a 2005. The trim rings were different, they were also plastic welded in addition to screws. I transferred my cup holder, hazard switch, vents, ashtray, etc.

I meant the cutout part right above the USB plug. It is where I would expect to find the magnetic ride control if so equipped.
Put in Koni Active's and changed the oil. Need to figure out the height adjusters (heard it is easy, just haven't researched) as the passenger side is about 1/2" higher than the driver side. Only drove about 5 miles, but like the ride so far with the Koni's.
What made you go with these over the Bilstein Shocks? Ive heard Bilsteins were the way to go (plus they'd have matched your color of car)

Well, I did think about the Bilstein's matching the car. I actually ordered B6's first and then found out they are on national backorder for at least another month. One vendor told me sometimes that can turn into 2-3 months or longer. No one had a full set of B6, B8 and DRM is out of theirs as well. With that being said, have read good things about these and actually had some Koni FSD on a previous vehicle that I liked a lot. I found a good deal on them so I went for it. I am pretty impressed with these overall. A smoother ride, takes the edge off harsh bumps, but stays planted. Truth be told, I don't think you can go wrong with either brand. From all of the posts/threads that I have read, the Koni Active's or Bilstein B6's give a more road cruiser ride and if you want a stiffer/track type ride either the Koni Sports or Bilstein B8 or DRM.
Ive been thinking about doing the C5 Clutch pedal return spring...... Is that what you did?

No I went with the C6 spring but I know what you mean by how soft it is. The clutch on this C6 is softer than my prior one. Not sure if that’s because this one doesn’t have the Z51 package or not.
