Tinted the headlights and driving lights with proper material for this application. I used Rvinyl precut smoke self healing film. The pre cut fit nice but it wasn't perfect so I went around the outside of the headlights with 1/2" black metalic vinyl so there is no exposed clear of the headlight showing. This isn't the blackout film although it looks that way from the pic. Speaking of the pic, what a cool one this is. I recently ceramic coated the car, windows and all. This looks like a photoshop image, but it's not, that is all reflections from the flags and such on my garage ceiling.
Finally got the Morimoto Gen 2 tail lights installed. And I am happy to report there is no FM interference. Also got the Agama car launcher configured, set as the default Home page, and added the Grand Sport logo.
Incidentally, those integrated reverse lights are a whole lot brighter than the stock reverse lights. Now I need to put LED replacements into those and also into the side markers. It never ends!
interesting. I didn't know those lights had Rev lights in them.
I'm on the fence if I want to replace my stock ones or not.

And it was surprisingly easy to get connected. Unlike the Infirai, they plug directly into the harness with no splicing or T-connectors. I actually started out with Infirai, but after extensive troubleshooting and ruling out connection issues I found the set I received were defective and had to go back.
I have the same tail lights but didn’t hook it to the reverse lights(I would imagine it is super bright at night on the MaxDin). Could you post a pic of it at night on the screen in reverse? Was it hard to connect the Mori’s to the reverse.

Interesting. I too had the Infirai first and the quality of the set I received was terrible. 10x better with the Gen 2 Morimotos.

No, it wasn't difficult at all. There's a harness for them that plugs directly into the existing wiring harness. The Infirai require splicing or T-connectors, but these required nothing. I had them installed in less than 10 minutes with just a T-15 Torx.
The weather has been horrible the last couple of weeks, but things may clear up today. I'll snap a photo if I have an opportunity.
Incidentally, that's the harness in the middle for the reverse lights:

I was really disappointed because they looked great, but the left-hand flashers kept acting like there was a burnt bulb in the system, which is impossible because I have the Morimoto headlights. That, and the first time I stepped on the brakes, the FM station I was listening to instantly became static, so they were putting out a significant amount of EMI. That EMI could be what was causing the issue with the turn signals. Who knows. But these Morimotos were not only easier to install, I am happy to report that they have zero FM interference.

I have been working on my paint. Mine is a 2013 GS, Torch Red paint with about 55k miles on it. The paint looked great for a casual glance but upon closer inspection It had small circular marks all over it that I would describe as years of washing, waxing, drying marks. I have included some pictures below trying to show the progression. Before doing anything After first polishing attempt, got about 80 to 85% of scratches out. Final, when I started the light was blurry and the ceiling was as well, much clearer now.
My next step is getting some marks out that are close to edges. Has anyone found a polishing kit with small pads and a high speed polisher that can be used in tight, hard to reach, near edge areas?
We use the Rupes iBrid Nano polisher for tight to reach spots. Blue foam pad with Jescar Correcting Compound. Yellow foam pad with Sonax Perfect Finish. Proper angle and pressure are the keys to getting the desired outcome. Safe on edges as long as you don't stay in one spot.
You can watch plenty of videos on YouTube related to movement, pressure and speed. Their 3" polisher will also reach into some tight spots and is handier than the nano but you need the nano when you need the nano.
Put shocks all around and painted the rotors with POR-15, cleaned and polished the calipers, they are aluminum and shine! Good way to spend a Saturday!
Changed out the NPP control solenoid for the dual mode exhaust. I can absolutely tell you the YouTube videos that show it as a 5 minute easy peasy swap, do not show the entire picture.
1) Remove both right rear taillights. This is the easiest way to do this job. They are each held in with a 15mm Torx at the top of each light. Fun fact, the taillights are actually oval, not round as they appear when installed.
2) Unless you have small forearms, tape the area around the taillight openings to prevent your forearms from getting cut to hell - too late for me.
3) The valve is hiding under a cover below the right inner taillight, I have not seen anyone mention or show the cover in pics or video. The solenoid is not visible until the cover is removed.
4) To remove the cover, pull the wiring harness off the stud to the left by pulling up, you can now lift the left side of the cover off the stud and rotate it out of the way on the push pin that holds it down on the right.
5) Don't remove the 10mm nut retaining the valve yet, first pull off the 2 vacuum lines which will take a good / great deal of force. Having the screw holding the valve firmly in place will help.
6) With the vacuum lines off, remove the 10mm nut, lift the valve off, you will now have easy access to remove the electrical connector.
7) Reverse the process above.
Oh and BTW while I was in there I found and vacuumed out a good deal of pebbles and other road debris from the inside bottom of the rear fenders.

New to me 2011 Grand Sport 2LT manual transmission JSB with 88k miles. New plugs and wires today. Next weekend new front rotors and pads. Remove interior and add sound deadening, lcd screen head unit and f/r cameras. I have a like new set of C7 seats to install waiting on the adapter cables from a certain company that never responds to emails and has a full voicemail. Ordered them over 6 weeks ago.
