Default Key fob personal programing

Hi all. I got a really thick manual and I don't readily see instructions to fix this.

The car keeps changing the seat and mirrors to my key fob (assigned to Kasey) that was personalized to the original owner. I have already programed the memory to the buttons on the door but when I get in the car the seat switches to the fobs memory.

Help.......

Look at the back of the fob---mine has numbers on them, 1 & 2, and I program the car to the fob number. I also turned off easy entry because it makes it harder to get in and out retracting the steering wheel to the dashboard.

Don't forget that you can assign a 3rd preset by pushing both 1 and 2 preset buttons at the same time. I call this my "get in and out" mode (seat all the way back, wheel all the way forward for me) I know the seat does this automatically when the key is removed, but if i'm in and out of the car it's nice to be able to do it without cycling the ignition.

Katie, I know the car is new for you and it is tempting to have the car move the seat and steering column when you get in and out...but unless it is absolutely necessary, I would suggest setting and forgetting. Moving them often makes it much more likely to have problems with both the connectors under the seat and on the steering column. I realize that you should be able to use this feature, but to avoid future problems it's better not to. Many on the forum will say that they use the feature all the time and have never had a problem, but it is also true that the majority of the reported problem with airbag dash lights are cause by the connector under the seat. Just a thought for you.

I pretty much agree, I stopped moving anything and stop the "easy get out" feature. Being 15 years old, I feel good that what I have still works, and is there, if my wife wants to drive. I do plan on driving the car, but you never know--10 years down the road, it may make me more money on resale because everything works.

There's a lot more to read into the comment than you did.
