Does anyone know where in area of South Atlanta to get the LS3 computer programed to raise the idle. Mine is running around 450 to 500. Runs without any problems except when coming to a stop and then you notice the power steering starts to go a little.

Have to admit never hearing of such an issue, ghost.
Not w/ a stock tuned C6, of any version.
Guessing you're not tuned or could have a tuner change idle or DIY.
Have you absolutely ruled-out an issue w/ MAF, which might cause your problem? Guessing.
Will BTTT.
Hopefully tech savvy eyeballs will/can read it & chime-in.
Sorry, I'm at a loss. G/L

Landru Thanks for you reply. I need to be a bit more clear I think. This is a crate GM LS3 in a 63 split window. Has only 30 miles on the engine and drive train. The MAF is 4" away from the TB just as the instructions indicated. I wonder if the computer will adjust itself after a 100 miles or so. Every thing is stock and brand new. Kinda puzzling.
Was not sure a hand held could do the reprogramming in the way of idling.
Why I wondered if car was stock, it's not so yes you can get into ECM w/ a programmer & adjust idle. IF you don't want to do this yourself, take it to any reputable HP shop, ideally one specializing in LS engines. Doesn't sound serious & can be quickly remedied.
Since it is a cool restomod you may want to double check all the vacuum lines and the bands that hold the air cleaner to the throttle body for tightness first. Vacuum leaks are notorious for low idle problems and stalling when you let off the throttle.

Good point. There are so many things to try to remember to do or get back to and I'm sure some things needs to be rechecked.
I had this problem after putting a crate LS3 in my '05. It ran great, but would die (or threaten to) when coming to a hard stop after high rpms. It was just the fuel/air mix, and it took a bit of fiddling and driving and fiddling to solve the problem.
