Hence they put in a hood vent to vent the radiator better and pull that air up and out of the top of the hood, but fell short with the venting on the front bumpers to pull more out, isntead of going under the car,
Then we get to the back of the car, and instead of pulling the air out from the back under the car and pushing it up and out over the back top fender vents for back down draft, when the other way to pull air in instead.
Now we come to the back valance and instead of venting the last of the air still under the car up and out of the valance to push the back in down even more, didn't bother.
Hence instead of making the car with huge down force numbers so it sucked the ground like a vacuum cleaner to create some high cornering G force numbers at speeds with light taxing to top end speed that most will never use instead, went the other way instead (still having lift/slightly higher top end speed, and better gas mileage instead).
Really, when Audi figured this all out with the R8 a long time ago, how hard is is for GM to follow suit so the Vet is just as scalpel like in the technical section of the track too.
But no, this is not GM market for the C7, and instead are focused on the new toy car look that sisters the camero/ stupid spec numbers to try to draw in the newer muscle car guy isntead.
Think about it, and the Hellcat that is selling so well now. It has some good chalk board HP numbers, but is like trying to throw a wallowing pig around a road course instead.
Bottom line, the super cars over all performance numbers for road course work are climbing by leaps and bounds each year, while the Vets, it just gaining weight and moving into a muscle car/ GT touring type car instead.
Hence this is what the C7 should have rolled out of GM doors for the new model instead.
The C7 gauges look so much more generic on the outsides of the lcd screen.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Maybe a little dramatic, but I get her point.
Now a c7 GS or a c7z, yes. Much more aggressive and the overall look of it can make up for the Tetris style tail lights.
