Base C6
Are there any aftermarket solutions to get the C6 to have a tighter suspension and handle better?

No expert in the category, but I'd think aftermarket sways and shocks (Bilstein Sports?) would be a good start.
You may have to define "handle better" a little more specifically.

Upgrade to OEM Z51 sway bars, if your car isn't already equipped. Makes a MARKED difference over base suspension and its cheap!

After test driving a few with & without the Z51 package, I ordered mine with it. IMO the handling is night & day ... mine handles extremely well through the mountain passes

I guess feel more planted to the ground.

Check out Cultrag Performance, a forum vendor, for sway bars and shocks, they make a big difference compared to stock.

I solved this problem with the addition of Z51 sways and Koni FSD shocks along with non RF tires and a thicker tunnel plate.
To my experience it rides better than the Z51 due to the the softer springs rates.

Did the same thing and ordered the Z51 option. I laugh when some people say "I didn't feel much of a difference between the two". It's night and day! Since then, I have added Bilstein Sport shocks, Michelin Super Sport tires 265/305 and wider TSW rims, the difference is even greater.

Bilstein SPs did it for mine. Stays planted perfectly in the twisties, on bad roads and good roads. Very satisfied with them.

Everything I've read and heard also points to Cultrag and plan to go with one of their packages when I upgrade.
No personal experience but have heard nothing but praise so take it for what it's worth...
