Ditto to that.

He shipped mine out the same day I ordered them, had them a couple days later.

$119 ^

I got mine from Gene for around $90 (plus shipping) on sale, about a month ago. I think his regular price is around $100.

Actually the price at tha-zon is $106.49, with free shipping.

Often the price isn't the final dollar amount, take into account shipping costs.

Not going against "forum vendors", but lowest total price rules in my book. I'm not saying tha-zon is the lowest price, but OP needs to account for shipping. Maybe Gene is lower, maybe he is not. But it would be nice to know what the "plus shipping" is on top of the $90 (or $100, if they're back at regular price).

Best price is not always the way to go!
Is the product the same quality?
Shipping costs? Sometimes I think vendors make as much on this as the sale of the product!!
have you dealt with this vendor before and they gave superior service?-moves them up a notch!
Have you had issues with this vendor and they went above and beyond to solve the problem? if so move up 2 notches!
Just saying as i have got burned before by going with the few dollar savings!

I agree 1,001%.

I don't mind paying more for things if I know the business is reachable and will respond to a problem. And not take forever to do it.

Every business today seems to go out of their way to insulate themselves from their customers. Good luck trying to talk to a human being on the phone. I just cancelled two insurance policies for this exact reason.

They arrived in a few days, genuine GM product in genuine GM bag (can verify with any GM parts counter). Fit perfect, zero issues. installed in a half hour.

Check with Gene, maybe he'll beat the best price+shipping you find, never know. If not, well, business is business, and bottom line is dollars.

Not for everybody.

I've been self-employed for 31 years and my main goal has always been to give my customers WHAT they want, WHEN they want it, to the best of my abilities.

The money, which is secondary, will follow.

As a consumer (not a producer as in your case) I am looking for the cheapest sale so I can buy more stuff with the cash I have. It's not show-friends, it's show-business. I don't hang out and have beers on weekends with forum vendors. I buy stuff, they sell stuff. That's about the extent of our relationship.

Also, just because they're forum vendors doesn't mean the quality or customer care is guaranteed top-notch. Without putting a forum vendor on blast directly, I ordered a part (it was cheapest from them), then found out it was backordered (after I called to see why it hadn't shipped a week later). Was given two different ship dates, both were missed. Only when threatening order cancellation did the order go out the door. Item broke a week later. WTF.

My point: problems can happen with any order. But, if people still want to pay more for the exact same item, no hard feelings. Only meant to offer OP a cheaper alternative, did not mean for this to get into a back-and-forth on whether it's worth paying more or not just because a dealer happens to be a forum vendor.

I understand everyone has their favorites and their own ways of purchasing parts. Thanks to those who support me and continue their loyalty.
