Three weeks ago I had new PS2's installed on my '13 GS. I have only had time to drive it home from the tire shop and briefly around town before leaving on vacation. Today, my wife and I mad a quick trip to Lubbock, TX to see our kids.
For the trip up there we had a beautiful day and a great ride on the PS2'S. The return trip turned ugly somewhere past Post, TX. We were watching the radar and the storms appeared to be to the south of us. All of a sudden we in in a horrendus down pour and it quickly turned to hail. The stress level inside a 'veto in a hail storm is rather high, with no where to hide. This lasted 10-15 min and the hail was pea sized to marble sized.
I wanted to stop and check for damage, but there was another storm headed for home and we needed to get there before it did.
I am happy to say there was no damage to the GS by the hail and the PS2's handled great in the rain.
I got into 1/2 pea- sized hail yesterday afternoon in the foothills west of Denver. Yes, that is tiny stuff, but: 1) that tiny stuff is sharp-edged and can do a lot of paint damage, and 2) It can turn into 1"+ sized stones in an instant. Fortunately, this became a three-minute gully washer / all water.
Drift: Another positive report here on the Michelin Pilot (AS3+). Best tires I've run on anything (so far).

I was coming out of the mountains into Boulder a couple of years ago in my then new 2013 GS and ran right into gully washer that included hail. I was able to duck under a car wash canopy but the water in the street was over the curbs before I did and the noise inside the car was deafening as the hail pelted the clear top.
Like you guys I didn't get any damage luckily but I will never forget that noise!
Glad you made it back safely, and no damage to the car. The weather has been crazy here the last week or so with all of the rain and severe thunderstorms.
