My a/c is kicking on and off and blowing warm air at a stop light. Going down the road it will blow cold. My amp gauge is showing 12.5 amps .. Please help.

If you're talking about the gauge in the dash, it's a volt gauge and 12.5 is too low if the car is moving on the road. It should read about a minimum of 13.2.
