I got my 2006 vette a few months ago. The owner told me the vette has a pretty crappy stereo......it does! Anyone knows of a good name to purchase....that sounds awesome in this car? Bose?
Also, this is a two for one post........😉
Anyone use 'clay bar' on their car? Worth it? Kind you like......previous owner told me about. Zaino,,,,
Any ideas much appreciated! And thank you so much!
I have the crappy Bose also so I don't know about a replacement but the clay bar is good for taking off contaminates. Even if you keep your car in pristine condition a rub with a clay bar will take up contaminates of the surface
Truth is that in order to get GREAT sound it is more than just replacing a head unit. You will need to replace head unit, door speakers and rear speakers.
If you want to feel the PUNCH of the music you will need to ante up for a good Amp and Sub speakers.
I put in a Kenwood Excelon Head Unit and Amp, JL Audio 6 1/2 doors, 8" Subs and Kicker 5 1/4 in my 2010 GS.
Sounds Phenomenal.

I don't even think I have BOSE.......I don't know what I have....lol. But thanks so much for your reply!!!!!! I will go get some clay bar!!!!! Looks like amazing stuff!!!!!
You can replace the head unit and get decent sound. If you want great sound, like was previously said, replace all speakers too.
As far as clay bar...most are close to the same thing. Several brands. Just keep the car slick while using, then wax. If you buy a kit with detail spray, after its gone, just use dish washing liquid and water. Good luck.
I have the six CD Bose stereo and while sounds ok it does need some AMPlifyication! The trunk mounted ten CD Kenwood stereo I had in my ol Caddy sounded better and that was with OEM speakers.
