DIC lights replacement help
Decide to fix a couple of blown lamps on the DIC switches. Thought it would be a simple fix until I took it apart. I got the replacement lamps, but wasn't sure how to remove the lamps. Took some pictures maybe someone can guide me in the right direction on getting the lamps out. Do you pull them out. Do you heat them up from the bottom with the Soldering iron and the white plastic piece comes off with the lamp from the back

I know from doing a search that the bulbs have to be soldered on. I have never done it so I'm not sure of the process. However, I have an old switch out of my C6 that I replaced with a new one. So, I just now went to my garage to experiment on it. I was able to pry the wires away from the back of the white plastic, and then pry the plastic part off. From there I would think that you could use a soldering iron to both remove the old bulb and install the new one. It looks like you would need to make sure the new bulb is in the center of the hole in order to reinstall the white plastic. As I said, I have never done this so I think maybe you should do a search to make sure how it is done.
Yep, bend the end wires to remove the covers, un-solder the old bulbs out, solder the new ones in, and leave the wire tails long enough when you trim them to just bend them back up to hold the covers back on.

Thanks for the rapid replay. You all answered my question. I wasn't sure about pulling that plastic piece off of the back. Heck I couldn't even see that little wire until I looked at the picture I took and enlarged it. Comes with age. Got my glasses? I am also caution now about pulling things apart. I removed my HUD about two months ago and cracked my windshield so I am being a little careful now.
