2005 C6 won't start

2005 C6 won't start

Drove my car 5 blocks I washed it , then moved it to dry, went to start it again it went click, click, click it did say fob not detected, went and got my other fob still won't start.

Did you put the fob in the slot in the glove box?

There is a lot of information in the no FOBs detected of things to look for and possible solutions. Just above in the Sticky section threads

If it was "click, click, click" ing it probably needs a new car battery.

No fob detected only will not produce any sound at all, just a message on the DIC.

yes I did all the lights came on when I did that , I thought it would start, but when I pushed the button and step on the brake nothing happened.

I disconnected the battery for 10min then tryed to start it all the lights and everything work like normal just wouldn't start.

hold your fob up by the steering wheel and shake it. I had to do that in My 05 and my 08's a few times.Also,if you let it sit a while (few minutes) it should reset and start.

Time for a new car battery. If it made clicking sounds it was trying to start but your battery is weak.

If by some miracle you still have the original battery then yes,change it out.Having owned an 05 for 2 1/2 years,I never had to replace the battery when this happened.Remember,that was the first year of the c6 and the new electronics.Lots of little quirky things went with it in the 05 c6.This is one of them.

Never had one last even 3 yrs. 2 is average for me.

I just checked the battery November 2014 was when it was bought.
