HVAC wonky - need help
2013 Grand Sport. The HVAC blower goes to max and will not decrease. The indicator bar on the control head shows increase/decrease but the fan speed does not change. When deselecting the passenger side air flow still comes out of the vents. When in AC airflow comes out of the defroster ducts. All of the controls on the control head work properly but the system is not obeying the commands. A brand new control head was installed per the dealer's diagnosis but no change. The codes that came up are: B0248, B0268, B0269, B0408, B0409, B0419, B0423. After replacing the control head, the codes have gone away but the system still malfunctions. It blows cold or hot depending on setting degrees so that part works.
Is there a module that controls fan speed and/or duct direction? Is there a BCM somewhere in the system that may be at fault? Dealer wasn't much help. They supposedly had it working properly while the scan tool was attached but once disconnected it went back to its current mode of incorrect operation.
There is another 2013 GS owner in our area that is having the same issue. I have not found any TSB's so was curious if anyone else experienced this and what fixed it. Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.
My 2013 GS exhibited similar symptoms when I bought it last year. According to the repair invoices the dealer replaced the HVAC Control Module Part # 25938052 and the Mode Valve Actuator Part # 22754989 after getting Code #s B3748 and B0249.
Works perfectly since.
