Key fob
Today I went out for a short time and I placed my keys on the passenger seat. I shut the motor off grabbed my keys off the seat and closed the door. 3 beeps of the horn (it only did that a few months ago) I pushed the fob to lock it and it did not work so I locked it manually. I came home had the keys this time in my pocket and it worked normal. The battery in the fob is 2 months old and has worked normal except for one time. Am I doing something wrong ?

You mean 3 horn beeps? If so Nope, sometimes when you turn the engine off when door is open or exit the car when you close the door you will get three horns (keys left in the car signal) . Maybe you were too close. I do not know the exact circumstances that causes the 3 horns when the key is not left in the car but it happens to me once in a while too. But i do not worry about it. However i do not try to lock it manually, walking away from it will lock it and still give me the one horn locked signal. It has nothing to do with the batteries, it is a proximity thing.
