To activate the sensors in my C5 wheels I bought a 40lb pull magnet from that auction place. Activated them in seconds when nothing else would do the job. Under 10 bucks.
Since a lot of use have TPMS reset tools and could even check to make sure that the correct TPMS is in play, and working correctly, without even have to put the car into relearn mode to begin with.
Hence once we are sure that the TPMS are working correctly and the correct model for the car (about a min) them is only takes us a min to put the car into learn mode to program them in next.
Here is the read out from a 2005 to 2009 sensor, and if the tpms just happens to take the 2010 to 2013 mode to get it to read, then you know that sensor is wrong for the car isntead. Also that it does not happen much, could be that two of the sensor have the same serial numbers, and why the car is only learning that TPMS number for the first position only.
So...finally got my vette into the Chevrolet dealership today to get the right side sensors replaced as the "amazon sensors" weren't working even though the left side did just fine.
Boy do I hate dealerships with a passion right now. My left side of car cost me $36 total for two sensors plus $50 to install.
My bill for the right side from the dealer? $328. They charged me $60 in labor and $134 per sensor. Hell of a markup eh?

Lesson learned the hard way. Make sure any electronic devise or relay is working before actually replacing it on the car. Glad your all sorted and enjoying your car.
It was only the very first 2005's that the magnet would work to trigger TPMS, and about mid year, the 2005 TPMS's required the reset tool onward isntead. Hence pretty sure that the TPMS where just carry overs from some other models on the first 2005 cars, or they had a supplier change mid production, which required the reset tool instead.
