I just noticed that the drivers side window on my '11 GS coupe does not jog back up after door is closed. With the window completely up, it jogs down 1/4" when the door is opened ...... but does not go back up when door is closed. Has anyone experienced this and know the cause/fix? Thx in advance. -DJ.
Sounds like you need to re-index it. Not sure the exact procedures, but I know that with the car on & the door closed, pressing and holding the window up button for 3 seconds, releasing & repeating works. Have done it several tomes & the exact procedures are in the user manual. Good luck
You need to re-index your windows. Search and you'll find the process. Did you recently change your battery, disconnect it, or was dead? That's the cause most likely.

This just happened to me yesterday. I've had to use mine as a DD for a few days due to the Avalanche being in the body shop to repair accident damage. It's rained every day. My pos battery terminal got a little corroded and the car failed to engage. I was able to get the door open after ACC came on and the window indexed. It would not completely close however. The passenger side was not affected (?).I ended up disconnecting the battery (had to clean terminals anyway) and then go through the indexing procedure. Works fine now. You may have had an electrical interruption that caused it.
The indexing procedure if you don't already know it is simple. Put ignition switch in ACC. Lower driver's side window all the way and then raise it. Release window switch, count to three and pull up as if to raise the window. Hold for about 5-10 seconds. Repeat for passenger side. This will not work if you are still having issues with the window not raising completely.

Thanks guys!!! I replaced the battery last Jan so I suspect the problem has existed since then. But 90% on my driving has been with the top off until recently so am just now noticing. I'll try the indexing procedure tomorrow. Hope that takes care of it. All the best.... -DJ
All fixed. I just put it in the ACC mode, put the window down, then up all the way.... and held the switch for a few secs. Working fine now. Now that's a easy fix! -DJ.
