Hi, had a vibration above 80 mph....found to have a slightly bent r front wheel chrome on a 2010 coupe. Did some forum searching but wondered if anyone has a good source for a GM Oem wheel. I looked at cultrag site but seems like several chrome front wheels are listed at different prices. Thanks for any help.

Why not get the wheel straightened? It's possible. This company did one wheel for me that was bent in two places. http://www.elitemotorsofmaine.com/index.htm
They were attempting to road force balance the tire and they couldn't because the wheel was bent. They have an outside contractor that visits them as needed and straightens wheels. I was charged $100 for the wheel, added to my road force balancing charge of $95. Way cheaper than a new wheel. I've only had the car up to 125 since the wheel was fixed but it was rock solid.
If they can do it in a third world country like Maine, they can do it anywhere.
That's a good thought...I did talk to one place who had a wheel straightening person but they didnt do chrome wheel re risk of damaging finish....I will check around to see if anyone will work on chrome. Thanks
Just me but if I were going to drive at high speeds I wouldn't get a wheel straightened.. To easy for a tire to blow off a wheel.. been there and done that. JMO

There are several places in most areas that sell used wheels, many of them takeoffs from new cars. I got a rear OEM chrome wheel for my '13 GS for just over $400 last year. It looked like new.
I'd rather have my original wheel straightened than take my chances with a used or after market wheel. I don't see a down side with a properly repair wheel.

Was that Ye Old Wheel Shop in Elkridge you talked to? If not, try them by phone. Some very minor bends can be straightened but I'm not keen on it either. Can't recall the name but on here there is a vette-only used parts site, I think it's somewhere in the Midwest. See if you can find it. Other than that, talk also to house of wheels, another CF site/vendor.
While I am not keen on straightening a wheel my E350 which has very soft AMG wheels on it had a bend in all 4 which showed up as a vibration around 65 MPH. New wheels were 600.00 @ each . Took it to one of the best places here in ATLANTA and had them all fixed . Smooth as silk and I trust them the same as new . As long as there are no cracks and major bends I feel it's fine to do

The chrome could be an issue.
I agree ....... as long as there are no major bends or cracks in metal
I don't see a problem with straightening a wheel to original specs, as long as there is no structural damage to the wheel. If the wheel is structurally sound, and straightened to original specs, how would it contribute to a blown tire (unless you hit something with it)?
