Does anyone know if there is a recall on the dashes of these cars? The leather on the dash is peeling and bubbling n some places. I do live in the hot south.
Somewhat of a common problem with the 4LT dash pads. No recall that I've seen and according to a post in this thread, these dash pads are no longer serviced by GM.
I know this particular problem isn't the same as yours but I posted links to a couple other threads that are similar:

Warranty aside, your options are to pull the windshield and have a professional auto-upholstery shop re-fasten the leather or you can pull the dashboard and have it completely recovered. If you do pull the windshield, you should plan on purchasing a new one as I believe they are not meant to be re-installed. Someone should correct me if I'm wrong.
Please keep us posted on what happens.
After reading this and the other recent thread on the "real leather" dashes doing this I am glad I only have the 3LT with vinyl dash.
That would really **** me off to have to either "fix" performed on my car

Welcome to the club. Chevrolet does not have replacement parts for the dash, period. You are on you own. I have tried to deal with Chevrolet and they suggested that I replace it with some other type of dash material and they would discuss the matter with the "dealership" and see if they could get the dealer to eat some of the cost. I said thanks but no thanks. If it could not be original I was not interested.

At this point nothing. Chevrolet would not even guaranty that if I had it fixed, some how, how much the dealership would kick in. It was a crap shoot. GM suggested that I go to some type of cloth dash. I rejected that. Anything but a factory replacement would devalue the vehicle, in my opinion, beside that it would look tacky, again in my opinion.
I am going to take it to paint and body shop near my home. They have been known to do some rod restorations that are pretty neat. I am going to see if they think they can do anything with it, like restretching and reglueing, I guess.
I am going to get a price from them and recontact GM. I quite frankly do not look for GM to do anything other then to provide lip service and shrug thier shoulders. I am sure a lot will depend on cost and how much they think they would want to participate.
I will let you know if your interested in the outcome.
That is a damn disgrace. Come on GM, own up to this and make it right.
I agree. I'm not having issues YET, but there are less than 9000 miles on my odometer and it's in the garage most of the time, not sitting outside. Between the issues of the bubbles in the stripe tape under the spoiler on the Anniversary cars, and the dashes, it's beginning to look like GM just threw everything they had sitting around and used it all on these cars with no thought of quality at all. I wasn't impressed with the materials they use on the C7 either. Seats and carpet in them is really, really cheap.

And yet when we watch the shows about the making of the Corvette and the Museum with all of the heritage that goes along with the brand, you get the idea GM really cares huh?
Then reality sets in and their seemingly lack of customer concerns rears its ugly head to leave you feeling like they give a "rats ***" about anything but profits, shame

I had an issue with a dealership a year ago last spring. Took my Vette in to have the stripe replaced for the bubbling issue on the trunk. Still under warranty, they ordered in a new stripe and new emblem, left the car there for two days while they fixed it. Went to pick it up and they didn't do anything except lift the spoiler, heat the existing stripe, and tuck it back under the spoiler. I was livid. So when I got the survey about my "dealership experience" I let them know about it and my anger. Never heard one word from GM. Not one email. Not one phone call. The "repair" lasted about 3 months. Bubbles are back.
GM give a crap? Hell no. Collect their salaries and that's about it.

Mine is a 2008 with 30000 and it has been garage kept since day one. It is coming apart!!!!! For that kind of option money they should a least stock replacement parts and or material. GM is not even in a position to replace it. They don't have the parts. And according to GM they will never be available.
How many leather dash problems do you suspect are in the United States alone and that number times purchase dollars spent on a Corvette would be astronomical. How many dollars would it take to warrant GM attention? Hmmmm obviously more then that. Good will I guess is not a number for them. It is just a state of mind.
They are required by law to make parts available for a certain period of time, I think it is 10 years. Do I smell an all American class action law suit?

The interesting thing is if someone purchased a car late in 2013 or early 2014, those cars would still be under the 3/36 bumper to bumper. What would they tell that customer now, sorry your **** out of luck ???
