At What Oil Life Percentage Do You Guys Usually Change Your Oil
I have changed the oil on my '13 GS when the DIC has said 25% 10% and 4%. Now I am at 20k on my car and it says I am at 22% since last change. Mobile 1 is 22.96 for a five quart jug on Amazon with Prime now so I will probably do it. Do you guys have a certain percentage you like to change it at. I don't track my car or any of that kind of driving.

I change mine in the fall before I put it to bed for the winter. So far I've been driving about 2,500-2,700 miles per season. I have no idea what the % is, but probably 60-70.

Mine usually works out between 50%-60% at 5k miles.

That sounds about right, since I change between 0 and 4% and the mileage has been between a low of 9851 and high of 16441. If the majority of my driving is local the mileage is low. Long road trips make for lots of miles between changes.

I change mine every 5000 miles. Easy to remember multiples of 5000 and I do the same on all my cars. Never look at the oil life monitor.

This is actually a very interesting question.
We have already covered the low milage Vettes. The OLM does not take time into consideration. Hence the "change at one year anyway".
Anybody who drives a lot of miles, or hard, should take into consideration the OLM. I guessing the engineers who set the algorithm knew at least a tiny bit of what they were doing. They consider driving style, conditions, type of engine (and dry/wet sump), City vs Highway driving, etc…
Personally, I try to change at the ten percent mark, but don't sweat it if it goes to 5% (when it gives the message).

When my CHANGE OIL SOON light goes on, I simply RESET THE 0% BACK TO 100% and be done with it. Saves time, money, and resources.
Just kidding.
