Hey guys I need some help,
Does anyone know how or have a link to how to remove the rear diffuser on a 2012 Grand Sport,I work at a place that does hydrodipping and would love to dip it in carbon fiber I'm thinking on my cyber grey car it would look awesome.
Hmmm I seem to recall it was a bigger pain than those instructions suggest. In addition to taking off both rear wheels, and the inner fender liners, it involved removing the rear wheel opening moldings as well, to access some hidden fasteners.Once the car was jacked up and the wheels were off, removal of the OEM rear valance took about an hour and a half, IIRC. An extra dose of patience goes a long way here.
The hardest part is getting the individual 'fins/spines/tabs' (whatever you call them) to free out of the slots they are in. One of mine was bent and I couldn't get it out without cutting it off.
This is what it looks like when taken out.

Do yourself a favor and get an air ratchet, it will make the job of removing the screws down the sides much easier as space is real tight in there.
I've done it a couple times now.
