Default Help! Windscreen question...again

I bought a used GM windscreen from a fellow Corvetter. No problem installing the brackets. I actually installed them without cutting the carpet.
My question is this: When you install the screen itself into the brackets, is it supposed to click in place or is it just a friction fit? What the heck keeps it in?
Thanks, Steve, Chattanooga

It's just a friction fit. Had mine for more than 10 years & it's never come loose while driving.
