Recently I have been getting top not secure message. I have checked top and rear seals and it all seams tight but message keeps appearing. Any ideas what it could be?
First, I would check the panel in the trunk - make sure that both sides are firmly secured on the posts. Then lower and raise the top as you normally would ( pull down on the center handle firmly) and relatch. Report back if the message shows again.
The snaps in the trunk should not give you that message if not secure; it should just not allow movement with an "attach trunk partition" message. The "top not secure" message is attached to the sensor in the top of the windshield.
The message shows almost every time I secure the top. I have put it up and down with the button as well manually opened and closed the top. I have just been ignoring as I know it's secure until I take in for service.
