Default Borla S-Type

Any info on this would be appreciated. I have the ability to buy a used one but want to know about how loud the sound is and any drone issues. Thanks, Brian

If it is the new Borla S-Type II then there is no drone. It has a nice aggressive sound when you get on it but quiet enough at cruising speed to carry on a normal conversation.

It's slightly louder than the NPP exhaust IMO. Of course the Borla ATAK is the loudest most aggressive of the new Borla exhaust.

I have the Borla S-Type II and love it. It seems to sound better with age. I've had mine for a couple of years now.

There are Youtube videos of the 3 new Borla exhaust for comparision.

I have the S-Type II and it is amazing. NO drone whatsoever in my convertible and sounds awesome. Couldn't be happier.

I believe that it is the original S-Type.

Default Borla S type II Rocks

I bought a used axle back and put it on my 2012 CE grand sport,.....sounds so great! Absolutely no drone at highway speeds.....but you get some great sound out of it when you get on the throttle. Like other posters have mentioned, lots of YouTube videos and go to borla website. They have some good sound clips there.

Borla S-Type II is the newer Borla exhaust.

The previous model was the Borla "Stinger" (or S type) I believe.

Here's video of them. Even though the video refers to the "S-Type" it is usually sold as the "S-Type II" to differentiate it from the older S-Type (which did have drone). The newer S-Type II came out in 2011.

Here is what the NEW S-Type II looks like.
