I recently had clutch failure on My 09 C6. The clutch peddle is depressed and will not come up although The clutch is still engaged. I have become aware of the need to flush the fluid of clutch dust.Do I replace the master cylinder. When I manually pukp the clutch up and down there is no resistance. What to do?

this is usually a slave cylinder failure. it's a pretty involved job to replace and if you have any thoughts of changing/upgrading your clutch now will be the time to do it!
i had to replace my slave and decided to replace the entire hydraulic system from KATECH i now have the tilton master and tilton slave with braided lines and a remote bleeder. i also upgraded my clutch to a twin at the same time. system functions flawlessly now. not saying you have to upgrade but if you're going to have the work done i'd spend the extra $$ to have a solid system in there but depends how hard you drive your car.
Start with the clutch master cylinder, especially when it will be covered. It's also the least evasive. If that is not the issue, then the slave cylinder. Depending on how many miles you have, it might be a good idea to replace the clutch assembly while everything is opened up.
There seems to be more clutch master cylinder failures as of lately!

GM issued a "cure notice" that relates to the problem you're experiencing.
It's not a recall but more like an extended warranty that's stated as valid for 10 years from date vehicle is originally placed in service or 120,000 miles. Dealers will repair the condition at no charge. Before you spend any of your own money, suggest you check with a dealer that has a good reputation for servicing Corvettes.
