I did exactly the same thing. Sounds awesome, but I did experience drone. I'm guessing your car is a vert. Insulating the cargo area with dynamat extreme cured about 95% of the problem. Very happy with the results at about a third of the price of a cat back.
I was super glad I found out about the Magnaflow 14336's from an old thread on here. I had them welded on at a shop that sells Magnaflow systems and they told me the only difference they could see from the axle back system was the pipes were more shiney. My car is a coupe. The only time I noticed a little drone was at 55 to 60 MPH or in your case 90 to 100 KPH. Not enough to bother me to add extra insulation to the car. Our speed limits here in Texas are higher though so I don't often cruise at that slow of a speed. This is a great money saver. I'm originally from Ontario, Canada. Cheers. I miss the beer.
I've never been a fan of the magnaflow mufflers, never sounded very loud to me. Glad your happy though with an alternative to a full system. I looked into those mufflers you mentioned, although I want to switch up to bigger tips and it starts adding up when you add two mufflers, two double tips then installation.

I understand. Everybody has different preferences when it comes to the sound they want. For me it was an excellent compromise and way cheaper than a full axle back system. I have a full Magnaflow system on my truck that I like so I kind of knew what kind of sound I would get. This is the second cheapest way to go short of the drilling out the stock mufflers though the chambers and resealing the outside with a plug. I thought that method was kind of cheesey, but if you're on a super tight budget that also works for some people. Enjoy you're new system! I'm quite sure you will.
