Hello All,
I'm a recent member and having issues with installing a Colgan bra that I recently purchased. Everything is fine with the exception of the upper inner fender tabs. I just can't get them to stay in place. Contacted Covercraft about my issues, suspecting the bra was mislabeled and was sent the wrong product but that wasn't the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try loosening your wheel well (I believe it's a T-20 or maybe T-15 torx screw), just loosen the one screw where the bra tab would be located when stretched out over the fender and then slip the bra tab in between the wheel well and the fender, then tighten the wheel well screw. I know it's a few more steps but it keeps mine on tight for long trips. I also keep a small t-driver kit in the back.

Thanks for the advice but there aren't any torx screws involved, push pins holding the inner fender in place. Ready to through in the towel!
I have the same bra, but mine is the carbon fiber material, not sure if that matters and my top tab is really bent, I thought that I pulled it up higher in the wheel well to make it a little tighter.
Thanks

I've been in contact with the manufacturer over the last two weeks, talking to three different tech's. They sent me pictures and explained that the tab simply attaches to the inner fender.
Bend the tabs at more of an angle and pull up on the corner of the bra when attaching them to the lip of the fender. Make sure all other hooks are snug before attaching the tabs.

I will try to put mine on this weekend and get a picture, the top tab is really bent. I bought mine used, so I didn't have bend the tab.
Thanks
I'd really appreciate that but only if it's no trouble for you. I just received an email from Covercraft stating that one of there designers is about to contact me. Anxious to see what he has to say.

I'd appreciate that but only if it's not too much trouble on your part. Covercraft just contacted me and said one of there designers would be getting a hold of me soon. Anxious to hear what they have to say.
Have a Colgan bra [purchased used] for my 2013 base coupe. It is a PITA to put on. I just put mine on to refresh my memory where everything goes/connects. Regarding the tab in question...if you continue to follow the plastic wheel well section that attaches with the push pins higher up the wheel well there is a narrow opening between the fender and the plastic inner wheel well. You can feel this opening with your fingers. Stretch the tab into this opening and then slide the tab back down between the fender and the plastic wheel well, i.e., downwards toward the plastic push pin. The tab should hold securely between the fender and the plastic section with the push pin. I did not have to loosen the push pin to get the tab to fit between the fender and the wheel well section. Hope this makes sense. If it doesn't maybe I can take a picture or two for reference. Good luck!
P.S. Really do not like how tight the long tabs fit in between the front clip and lights. Seems like it puts too much pressure on the seals that go around the headlights. Just my .02.

Thank you for responding. I just went to my garage and tried your suggestion. Still can't get it to attach and stay in place. I wonder, since you purchased it used, if the previous owner bent the tabs to his liking. Seems as though that's the thing to do as per other members. Think I may try bending the tabs. I only want to use it for longer highway trips and the driving season is soon coming to an end for us.
We vacation yearly in Ocean Isle Beach. Took a drive through Oak Island this year. Love the area!
Just checked my tabs. They are close to being "U" shaped. They might have been bent slightly by the previous owner since the left and right side tabs are slightly different in shape. Oak Island is a relatively quiet island, well suited for us older types...have had a place here for 23 years. Keep us updated as to your progress with the Colgan. Shouldn't be this much trouble, should it? You'll get it to fit...

Yes, going to bend the tabs. You're correct in the fact that it shouldn't be an issue. Not sure what you consider an older type but anywhere near 63, I'm with you!
