Tadge, I have 2008 corvette 70,000 miles 1 owner. a few months ago it began to run hotter than it had in the past about 230 to 240. it is Lingenfelter since it had 10,000 miles. always ran at 215. I had the radiator replaced as well as the water pump. old radiator covered with debris. now temp gauge will go to 0 computer will give error message "HOT ENGINE AIR CONDITION OFF" engine is not hot, operating normally no over flow of coolant Need suggestion. engine runs fine. Thanks 0353 John Squires
had already replaced the sensor. have just had the second new temp sensor installed. seems to be working ok now. Time will tell. cannot believe the first new sensor was bad. caused a lot of grief. Thanks for your help.

I believe you can test the sensor with a voltmeter (ohms)? This would determine you had a faulty sensor.

It happens.
Especially with starters. Can't tell you how many starters I have replaced with brand spanking new ones, right out of the box, and they are dead within a few days and sometimes right out of the box.
