Default C6 led tail lights

Hi everyone. I am new to the forums as I just purchased my first vette. It is an 08 and came with some billet aluminum blinker and tail light covers (both for sale btw). Since they are not my style I am removing them and want to put in LED taillights. Does anyone have any feedback on which brand is best and if there are disadvantages to using these types of lights? Thanks in advance. Eric

Eagle Eye LED taillights seem to be the LED light of choice

If you want this circular style of LED tail light, all of these are "Eagle Eyes" (manufactured in the same place) regardless of where you by them or how much you pay, so don't over pay expecting to get 'better' LED tail lights.

You will pay more if you want some that are 'tinted' though.

Another option are these Adjure Midnight Onyx LED c6 tail lights. 30 minutes and you are finished. If money is no option and you do not mind send your tail lights away for work check out Vettestetics.com.

I wish we could still get the JWM red Eagle Eyes. I personally think the regular Eagle Eyes are a bit too bright. Bummer. Its why I haven't purchased any LED tails yet. The JWM red looks so much better.

If/when you get ready to sell these, they should be posted with a new thread Here:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...le-wanted-115/

and you must include an asking price for them.

Tinted my eagle eyes with Lamin-x Charcoal tint film. Still plenty bright and I love the look.

Ditto. I did, however, put a thin bead of silicone around the seams prior to installing. This was due to reading a few posts on this forum of owners experiencing what could have been water infiltration damage. Almost one year on the car with numerous washes and rain without damage (knock wood). I really like the lights!

I installed the Eagle Eye lights about six months ago and I love em. Nice and bright, which is what a tail light should be. Why in the world, except to satisfy some pre-teen batmobile fantasy, would you want dimmer tail lights?

I also have the Eagle Eyes and I say "the brighter the better". If they rear end me, the excuse "I didn't see you" won't hold water!

That's what I eventually ended up staying with.

I tried regular and dark tinted. JWM RED was the compromise (right in the middle) and just right.

You can see all of the various samples in my previous post.

The car in the post is not mine.

I love the look and would like to do the Eagle Eye LED's but wondering if anyone out there found them cheaper than $249 which is what I see on Ebay. Anybody find a better deal?

Occasionally you might find them a little cheaper, maybe $220 or so, but that's rare.

$240-$270 is an average price. Forum vendors usually want much more.
