Yep. Another skip shift eliminator thread.
I know the plug is correct as it is labeled on the split loom. The stock male plug(white) has two sections on the side that slide over the female plug on the transmission. The replacement harness(black) doesn't have it so the plug won't go in the hole.
Typical? Or not so much? Reseller from Amazon says they have never experienced this before.
For the record... this is my exact luck with making simple modifications. They can't be simple.

2.2ohm type resistor fuse to change out in the engine fuse box solves the problem in seconds, and you don't have to get under the car to do it.

Or if you have any soldering skills, easy enough to make one yourself.

As for a blown smart fuse, will work for a while until the LED burns out, then you either have to swap the position of the fuse to use the other LED until it burns out, or just replace the fuse with a resistor type that does not burn out over time isntead.
Hence on the C6, only the cags is on that fuse, so the resistor can be placed there, isntead of on the C5 that other items on the fuse instead, so the resistor had to be placed down line under the car at the trans instead.
Simply, you using a C5 device, and you don't have to on a C6, since the resistor can be added at the fuse box instead.
